Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls

Our quartz crystal singing bowls are 99.9% pure quartz crystal, a naturally occurring element. The crystal is placed in a mold and heated to 4,000 degrees to form each of these exquisite looking and sounding bowls.

Humans respond more quickly and favorably to sound and vibration therapy because, on average, our bodies are composed of 65-90% water (based on weight and body type), and water is a superconductor for sound and vibration. Our bodies are also composed of six elements, many of which have a crystalline structure, like the bowls, which helps create resonance, bringing our bodies “in tune” with the sounds and vibrations they create. This is why crystals are key in the healing practices of many branches of holistic medicine.

Musical Tones

The musical tones of our quartz crystal singing bowls are mellifluent. Clear, smooth and sweet, they soothe from the moment they start being played. For more advanced singing bowl musicians, the quartz crystal singing bowls, when played in unison, are ideal for creating symphonious sustained harmonies.

The bowls are crafted by artisans in order to ensure the pitch of each bowl is substantial and robust. The notes perpetuate for long periods of time, making the bowls ideal for use in meditation and healing. The soothing tones of the bowls will hone in on your mental and physical ailments and help to diffuse them.

These quartz crystal singing bowls are also great for conventional daily meditation and deep relaxation. It is nearly impossible not to relax when you are in the presence of these singing beauties.

Crystal Singing Bowls and the Chakras

Just like our Tibetan singing bowls, our quartz crystal singing bowls can be used to help open and purify the chakras. Each bowl is tuned to a particular note, and that note, in turn, triggers a particular chakra. When played, the tones bring balance back into that chakra or energy center of your body.

Methods of Healing and Meditation

There are many different ways that quartz crystal singing bowls can be used to heal. Environment plays a critical role in this. When getting ready to play your own quartz crystal bowls, it is important to create a private space in which to play them. It should be free from distraction and noise. Combining the sounds of the bowls with verbal mantras or additional instruments may also increase the benefits of the sound and vibration for healing and meditation.

The single most important thing is to be sure to take time to get to know your bowl or bowls. Learning the best method for creating a good, healing and relaxing environment will come naturally through trial and error. Sticking with what feels the most comfortable for you is the recipe for success!

The History of Sound

To understand the importance of sound in healing and meditation, it is important to understand the history of sound.

Sound has long been revered as a hugely important aspect of our existence. In fact, history tells us that in Hindu belief, the sound “aum” or “om” was the first to exist in the universe, making it the all-encompassing sound, or the mother tone. After this mother tone occurred, the previously dark universe was lighted for the first time. Because of this, this stimulating sound itself, is held in very high regard in the Hindu community for its power to shed light into the darkness.

Quite recently scientific research has proven that body function can be altered by sound waves, giving further evidence of the healing power of these amazing bowls. Some doctors have even begun using Tibetan singing bowls and Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls as sound and music therapy to help terminally ill patients deal with their pain.

The resonating sound of the bowls can stimulate the body’s tissues at a deep level, allowing doctors to promote healing from within. The calming tones assist in healing by reinstating the natural sense of balance and harmony in the body. For example, when the body is suffering from a physical ailment, like a failing kidney, the natural resonant frequency that is produced by the kidney is reduced, creating an imbalance. Crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, when played, can project sound into the body helping to return the ailing organ to a healthy resonant frequency.

It is important to note that sound healing is still in the early stages of study and is not recommended as a full health care regime. You should still seek medical treatment if you suspect any sort of health problem.
